This gym sport uses traditional gymnastics equipment in different ways, drawing on influences from free running, parkour, tricking, karate & breakdance. Free G fuses traditional gymnastics and acrobatic tricks with kicks and leaps.

Free G gets your body moving in ways never thought possible. It will get your heart racing and develop a heightened sense of spatial awareness that can be used in various other sports (including. boarding, biking, skiing, climbing and surfing).      Check out this National Free-G promotional video here! 

Our DGC Free-G curriculum has 6 Steps!

Free-G Green Team = Steps 1 & 2: 

Entry into our Free-G pathways at DGC. With a focus on foundations and the development of training ability. Training in multiple areas of our gym, from the ninja, strength and parallel bar space, to the front of the gym (trampolines, sprung floor, obstacle course boxes).

Free-G Yellow Team = Steps 3 & 4: 

As gymnasts increase their skill ability throughout the Green program, if they pass their Step 2 requirements, they will be invited to the Free-G Yellow program with other like-minded gymnasts! 

The ability to perform the required skills develops alongside other expectations of training abilities (listening, behaviour, motivation, coachability)!

Free-G Red Team = Steps 5 & 6:

Extend your parkour, tricking and free-running skills further, with skills like the webster, precision jumps, double kongs, and wall spins! Link these skills together into free-running passes.
